Microsoft Gives Charities Free Web-Based Software

Microsoft is now making Office 365 available free of charge to eligible nonprofits. In addition, if an organization wants to intall the programs on computers in addition to having them accessible through browsers, it can also do that for a discounted price.

An eligible organization is one that is recognized as charitable in its respective country, is operated on a nonprofit basis, and that has a mission to benefit the local community. TechSoup Global, a 501(c)(3) that uses technology to help enable social change, will verify each organization’s eligibility.
